Our approach

Accessibility is ongoing rather than a one-time finish line. We use widely recognised accessibility guidance, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, as a reference while designing, writing and reviewing digital content.

What we work to support

• Clear headings, labels and page structure.
• Keyboard access and visible focus indicators.
• Readable contrast and text that can be enlarged.
• Meaningful alternative text for relevant images.
• Responsive layouts across common screen sizes.
• Plain language and descriptive links where practical.
• Reduced dependence on colour alone to communicate meaning.

Different ways to access content

Browsers and assistive technologies offer features such as zoom, text resizing, contrast controls, screen reading and voice navigation.

If content is difficult to use in its current format, contact us and tell us what you need. Where reasonably possible, we will explore another way to provide the same information.

Third-party content and limitations

Some linked websites, embedded tools or documents may be created or maintained by third parties. Their accessibility may be outside AlteraLab’s direct control.

Browser, device and assistive-technology combinations can also behave differently. Feedback helps us identify where the experience is not working as intended.

Reporting a barrier

If you encounter an accessibility issue, it helps to include:

• What you were trying to do.
• What happened and any message you saw.
• Your browser, device or assistive technology, if you are comfortable sharing it.
• The format or support that would help.
